Application for Undergraduate Dormitory in Spring Semester 2026
Dear Students:
Applications for on-campus undergraduate dormitories (continuing students waiting list) for the Spring Semester 2026 are about to begin. Please read the following information carefully:
- Eligibility: Undergraduate students who are not currently residing in on-campus dormitories and who, within the two years prior to the application date, have not had their household registry in Taipei City or in any of the following districts in New Taipei City: Banqiao, Sanchong, Zhonghe, Yonghe, Xinzhuang, Xindian, Shulin, Yingge, Sanxia, Tamsui, Xizhi, Tucheng, Luzhou, Wugu, Taishan, Shenkeng, or Bali.
- Students taking a leave of absence may apply, but must have resumed studies (be re-enrolled) by the time they are actually assigned a dormitory bed.
- Undergraduate students currently residing in BOT Prince House dormitories may apply. If they are assigned an on-campus dormitory and terminate their Prince House contract early, they must pay one month’s rent as a penalty in accordance with the Prince House contract.
- Applicants whose household registry has been changed but who are unable to log in to the online application system should contact the Student Housing Service Division, and also contact the Undergraduate Academic Affairs Division (Registration Section) to update their household registry address.
- Application Period: 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 to 12:00 PM on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. (Late applicants may contact the staff to be added to the end of the waiting list.)
- Application Website: https://housing.ntu.edu.tw/waiting/index/id/1142
- Allocation Priority:
- Students with disabilities: Please upload a disability identification card or special education certificate.
- Students from low-income households: Please upload a low-income household certificate issued by the government. Dormitory accommodation fees are waived, but the deposit and dormitory network fee must still be paid.
- Students from middle-low-income households: Please upload a middle-low-income household certificate issued by the government. Dormitory fees are subsidized by the Executive Yuan: NT$7,000 per semester, with a 30% discount for summer accommodation.
- Students from offshore islands and students with indigenous status: Please upload a household registration transcript. Students from offshore islands must upload a household registration transcript for themselves and both parents, issued within the past three months, which must include records of household registration transfers.
- International students, overseas Chinese students, and Mainland Chinese students (including children of diplomatic personnel): No supporting documents are required.
- Government-sponsored students: No supporting documents are required.
- Other students.
- In accordance with Article 19, Paragraph 4 of NTU Regulations Governing the Management of Student Dormitories, applicants who have received a written warning will have their allocation priority adjusted as follows:
– Those who originally qualify for priority categories 1-6 will be moved to category 7.
– Those already in category 7 will be placed after all other applicants in category 7.
- Students who have reached the maximum length of stay (student ID numbers beginning with B10; Veterinary Medicine B09; Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Physical Therapy B08 and earlier; and Second Degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing B12 and earlier) may still apply. They will be placed after other applicants in the same priority category, but before applicants in that category who have received a written warning.
- Applicants may indicate their preference for either Main Campus dormitories or Downtown Campus dormitories. Beds will be randomly assigned by the system. If you do not wish to live in a particular campus area, please do not include it in your preferences.
- Announcement of Results: Waiting list numbers will be announced at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025 on both the application system and the Student Housing Service Division website.
- Dormitory fee standards for each dormitory are available at: https://osa_dorm.ntu.edu.tw/CID-3. (Starting from the second semester of Academic Year 2023–2024, the Executive Yuan subsidizes on-campus dormitory fees for students with ROC nationality. General students receive a subsidy of NT$5,000 per semester, and students from middle-low/low-income households receive a subsidy of NT$7,000 per semester. The subsidy amount will be directly deducted from the semester dormitory fee.)
- The waiting list will remain active until April 30, 2026. Applicants may log in to the application website to check their personal waiting list number and current status.
- Starting from Academic Year 2024–2025, undergraduate students who newly move into the dormitories are required to participate each March in a random selection process to determine eligibility for continued residency. Only students selected through this process may continue to live in on-campus dormitories in the following academic year. Those not selected must check out at the end of the summer accommodation period (for Academic Year 2025–2026, by August 15, 2026).
- Students who wish to apply for Prince House starting February 2026 may register for the mid-semester waiting list on the Prince House website: https://ntudorm.prince.com.tw. Students may apply for and be placed on the waiting list for both on-campus dormitories and Prince House at the same time; however, if you are assigned a bed in both, you must choose only one accommodation.
